It’s says something about a companies dedication and appreciation for their employees when they throw an old fashioned company picnic. Carl Savarino’s commitment to family was very evident in all the activities planned for kids. While the weather could have put a damper on the day, the upbeat, positive spirit of everyone there pushed away rain and thunder, bringing sunshine and blue skies by the days end.
The day started out with great food provided by Catering Biz out of Hamburg, NY. Roasted chicken, italian sausage and peppers, several salads and cupcakes for dessert. After lunch, a Sno-cone machine was there to cool off the kids who were fired up playing volleyball, jumping in the bounce house and kicking butt and taking names in the the inflatable boxing ring. From 2pm-4pm Louis Cirulli, a local magician, amazed and wowed the crowd with lots of unexplainable illusions. At 3pm, Joe Berti, an avid sporting enthusiast, scheduled a fishing contest for all ages. Each participant received a gift bag of fishing tackle and the 4 winners (based on age brackets) took home a fishing pole for their valiant efforts. Later in the afternoon Chilly Billy’s Ice Cream arrived, compliments of SPEED, and everyone got to pick their favorite treat. Big and little kids alike had their faces painted by Rachel and Maggie Hempel, the daughters of Barb Saieva, Every employee was given a very nice cooler bag for attending and all children ages 2-16 were given Kazooka Water Shooters. Kids under 2 got beach activity play sets.
Thank you again to all the employees at SPEED who work hard to make sure our customers receive the BEST SERVICE in the business!
