2012 Annual Open House

We would like to thank everyone who came out to enjoy the fun and festivities at this years Annual Open House.  Almost 100 area companies were represented and we are proud to help keep Buffalo in business.  Check out the photo album for all the highlights!

This years theme was – Carnival– complete with stilt walker, dunk tank, games and prizes.  The evening started out with amazing food provided by some of Buffalo’s very own food trucks.  Serving up their delicious taco’s and burrito’s – LLOYD’s kept ’em coming back for more.  The WHOLE HOG brought us pulled pork sliders fit for a king and mac-n-cheese that melted in your mouth.  Of course a carnival would not be complete without treats provided by HOUSE of MUNCH, bringing cotton candy, fried dough and other yummy goodies. Everyone loved the food and enjoyed being able to pick out whatever they wanted “on the house”.

Beginning at 5:30 we “cooled off” several members of the SPEED team in the dunk tank.   For every “dunk” $5 was donated to the American Diabetes Association.  A total of $500 was this year to support their efforts.  First up was Kevin Harnden from dispatch, then Joe Monnin our drayage dispatcher, next was Scott Miskell the warehouse manager, Ray Machlowski our air freight specialist, Mike Diati, Vice Presisdent, and then all they guys from sales, Mark Mahon, David Galante (who had a long line of prospective dunkers) and last but not least, Tom Nason.  All I can say, is the pictures say 1000’s of words folks!

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s…wait for it…arriving by helicopter, the surprise guest of the evening, Mark Crocci, the owner and developer of Statler City and Buffalo Chop House.  What an entrance Mark!

Also on hand was Clumsy the Entertainer, keeping everyone entertained by juggling on stilts, riding around on a unicycle and fire eating.  ABC Rentals provided several carnival games so customers could test their skills and  win extra tickets for the door prize raffle.

This years prizes and winners were as follows:

Kindle Fire – Laurie Rotmans & Marc Crocci

$50 Visa Gift Card – Claudia Gilbert & Steven Kucharski

$30 Regal Cinema Gift Card – Angela DiPasquale

$25 Tim Hortons Gift Card – Arlene White, Lisa Hamlin, James Carney, Robert Fudella

Wine Basket – Ken Oberg & Candace Wilcox

Golf Basket – Joe Sferra & Pat Fierle

Congratulations and thank you again for coming!  We can’t wait to do it again next year.
