2012 Trade Show Adventures

SPEED Global Services set an aggressive agenda for attending or exhibiting in a trade show a month for the 1st half of 2012.

Beginning in February, our National Sales Director, David Galante attended RILA (Retail Industry Leaders Association) in Dallas, TX as a member of DACA (Distributors and Consolidators of America).  Our partnerships with other transportation companies benefits our customers by providing exemplary service anywhere in the country.

March was the 1st Annual FABTECH Canada, a show with welding and metal fabrication companies from all over Canada and North America.  This was also the “coming out” event for our new company branding campaign.  Kimberley Muncie, Business Development, and David Galante, National Sales, attended the 3 day trade show which showcased our new trade show booth, created by F&B Display.  You can see pictures on our Facebook page.

Establishing stronger ties for our Chicago lane, David attended ECA in April at the McCormick Center in Chicago.  Meeting regularly with our customers, regardless of their proximity to our headquarters in Buffalo, NY, David travels to Chicago on a regular basis, not just for trade shows.

In an effort to grow our new Air Cargo Division, Ray Machlowski attended and exhibited at SBA Expo in May at the Buffalo Convention Center.  He met with business looking for suppliers of military contracts and SPEED is now DOD (Department of Defense) and GSA (Government Services Administration) Certified.  Immediately following the SBA Expo, we participated in Entrepalooza, a leadership event arranged by the UB Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership.  Both events were very successful and we were excited to be a part of the local community events.

Most recently, our sales team and Vice President, Michael Diati, exhibited ans sponsored the Upstate Trade Conference in Rochester, NY.  This event was hosted by the IBC (International Business Council) of Rochester and included numerous expert speakers on international trade topics.

Looking forward into the remaining months of 2012, SPEED Global Services will continue to be active in community events and trade shows, both locally and nationally.  We will “kepp you up to SPEED” on our adventures.
