In recent trucking news, the CTAO (otherwise known as the Container Trucking Association of Ontario) has decided to strike. The announcement was made yesterday (Wednesday, September 9, 2015) and the strike is expected to affect many businesses in the Greater Toronto Area.
Representing independent contractors, small business owners, and container truck drivers in the Greater Toronto Area, the CTAO has been mulling this strike for a while, saying that container transport companies have not done all they can in improving rates, worker hours, terminal waiting times, and more. We will keep you updated as this plays out.
